Testimonials & Guest Reviews, Hôtel du Fort. Montreal

"From the moment we walked in around 11 A. M., we were greeted with great enthusiasm....We checked our baggage because our room was not ready...check is at 4 P.M. We finally got in our room about 3 P.M. The room was very adequate size wise and comfortable...The hotel is located away from the downtown and water front tourist area..However, there are a number of restaurants, stores, etc. in the immediate area...A great sports bar is located one block away...a varied menu and the food is outstanding..Metro is just three blocks away...and is located beneath a shopping mall. If you want a good hotel that has a very helpful, courteous staff, then you can't beat this place...Montreal is a great place to bike...rental for 24 hrs. is $25.00. ByWater market is less than one mile away...we ate at a deli and was the food tasty..."

"How can one improve on PERFECT! We and a group of family and friends were in Montreal for our son's wedding and used this hotel as 'base-camp'. The treatment we received was outstanding and nothing was too much for house-keeping, the concierge/front-desk, servers at breakfast or special services. Rooms were clean and quiet and efficiency was the watch-word. We cannot compliment the staff nor recommend the hotel highly enough. Thanks Hotel du Fort!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day stay at Hotel Dufort. This is my favorite hotel to stay at in Montreal as it is clean, comfortable, has amenities such as kitchenettes in each room, and is located in a very convenient location for the Metro, and for exploring rue Ste. Catherine (steps away) as well as other local sites such as Marche Atwater and the Lachine Canals. My room was clean, spacious, and had a fantastic view of the Montreal skyline. All staff was courteous and friendly. I look forward to staying here again."

"We were in town for only one night where I had some business. The hotel is definitely a local hotel but was a very comfortable and clean property. The front desk could have been a bit clearer in directing us to the hotel parking lot which is a bit convoluted. But the woman that checked us in was in training as her name plate indicated. Breakfast room was comfortable, quiet, and food was fine. If you want to avoid the noise and crowds of larger hotels, I would recommend this hotel. Until you master the Metro (the subway), it is a bit far from Old Montreal and a lot of the museums. I would go back if I had a good grasp of the city and what is where."
